For All Seasons’ Annual Back-to-School Resource Fair Draws Hundreds Despite Rain
For All Seasons hosted its annual School Supplies Giveaway and Resource Fair on Wednesday, August 20 at Easton Middle School due to rain with over 800 participants in attendance. Talbot County Department of Social Services, a key partner, contributed to the purchase of hundreds of backpacks pre-stuffed with supplies for community children in need. In addition to the backpacks and school supplies, the event offered health and wellness resources, snow cones, raffles, games, and more. Participants enjoyed visiting local vendor tables, many of which offered free fun and useful back-to-school supplies and resources to make the school year easier for area students.
“I am so grateful to be part of an event that meets families where they are and provides the resources they need to begin the school year with confidence. Even in the pouring rain, families made their way out to the giveaway, which speaks to just how important this support and sense of community are,” shared Carly Palmer, Outreach Coordinator at For All Seasons.
“This event is about so much more than school supplies; it’s about coming together and reminding families they are not alone. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors and the incredible dedication of our staff and volunteers, who created such a welcoming and meaningful evening for all,” she added.
Among the vendors who participated were Anchor Church, CarePacks, Easton Elementary School, State of MD Office of Oral Health, Seedco/MD Health Connection, Eastpoint Church, Talbot County Department of Social Services, SHORE UP, Inc., The Village Maternal Holistic Wellness Center, Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center, Talbot County Free Library, Choptank Community Health, Talbot Humane, Santé, Talbot County Parks & Recreation, Talbot County Health Department, CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield, University of Maryland Shore Regional Cancer Center, Shore Legal Access, United 4 Caroline, Infinite Legacy, Mid Shore Mediation, Easton Police, and Charlie Health.
Additional sponsors for the event included the Talbot County Health Department, the Easton Lions Club, iFrog, Anchor Church, and the Talbot County Children’s Advocacy Center.
