For All Seasons Hosts Volunteer Open House

Whether you enjoy working with the community, supporting educational programs, or helping behind the scenes, there are many ways to volunteer with For All Seasons. On April 28 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., the agency will host a Volunteer Open House at the For All Seasons’ Center for Learning, 111 E. Dover Street in Easton. The event will offer the opportunity to explore how volunteers help For All Seasons achieve its mission of providing mental health and rape crisis services to everyone who needs them, regardless of their ability to pay.

For All Seasons’ volunteers contribute in a variety of ways. These include:

  • Community Outreach Support – representing the agency, sharing information about For All Seasons’ programs, and serving as welcoming ambassadors at outreach events across the Mid-Shore
  • Center For Learning – bringing mental health education to the community by helping to assemble training materials for schools, assisting with event setup, and supporting the facilitation of workshops and Lunch & Learns for businesses and community members
  • Community Events – serving on the volunteer team for signature community events such as the Backpack Giveaway/Resource Fair, Frosty’s Holiday Village, and Hoopers Island Migrant Resource Fair
  • Peer-to-Peer Support – sharing vital mental health resources, supporting families, creating welcoming spaces for those who need us most, and helping the agency to grow its volunteer network

“Volunteers are critical to the work we do. Their talents and passion for our mission make a positive impact on mental health and the well-being of our community. During the open house, we hope to engage others with information about our mission and services and encourage them to get involved,” comments Sidney Davenport-Trond, Director of Development at For All Seasons.

Volunteer events were held in Kent and Caroline counties earlier this spring. Volunteer Open Houses will be held in Dorchester County on May 4, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Dorchester County Public Library, and in Queen Anne’s County on May 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Queen Anne’s County Public Library (Centreville Location).
